Plush Rocking Horses On eBay
eBay usually offers an excellent
selection of plush rocking horses for sale. If you're new to eBay, here is some
of the shorthand you may run into when reading titles and descriptions:
- NIB - New in box
- BNIB - Brand new in box (same thing as NIB,
really, but some folks like to be different!)
- Buy It Now - Stops the auction, and the plush rocking horse is sold at the Buy It Now price
- Gently Used or Gently Loved - Another way of saying Like New, below
- Like New - This is a nice way of saying the plush
rocking horse is used. However, this is often where really great deals are
found. Read the item description carefully, and if the seller has an
excellent feedback rating and claims the item is like new, it probably is.

Good Things To Know When Buying Plush Rocking Horses
- Is it a horse? Sometimes it may be a bear, or lion, or bull, or....you get the idea.
- Does it rock or glide? Some rocking horses are actually on gliders, not rockers. The gliders might
conserve room space (when a child rocks enthusiastically a horse on rockers
may scoot) and some folks feel they are safer, too.
- How big is it? It can be hard
to tell from pictures, so read the item description for actual sizes.
- How much weight will it hold?
A plush rocking horse is meant to be ridden, of course, so you will want one
capable of carrying the child you're buying it for.
- Does it make sounds? Some
plush rocking horses neigh or whinny, or sing, etc. Make sure you get a
quiet one if you want a quiet one, and one that makes sounds if that's what
you want.
- What are the shipping charges
going to be? A plush rocking horse might make a bigger shipping package than
you would expect. The seller should tell you clearly what the shipping
charges are.
- How soon after you pay for it will it be shipped?
