What Are Wrangler Cowboy Cut Jeans? Wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans were
designed and tested by real cowboys. These jeans feature extra room in the seat
and thigh to allow you to be comfortable on a horse, higher back pockets so you
don't sit on your wallet or hoof pick, a wide space between the front belt loops
to allow room for Western and/or trophy buckles, a tapered leg from the knee
down to fit over your boots, and smooth round rivets.
For women, Wrangler
Cowboy Cut jeans are available in original, slim, classic and relaxed fits. For
men, they are available in original, slim and relaxed fit.
General Jeans Terms
"Pre-shrunk" jeans are jeans that have been treated to
prevent them from shrinking more than 3%.
Rise - When referring to blue jeans the
term rise refers to the length from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband
(or, less commonly and depending on the brand, sometimes the bottom of the
waistband). You will notice that a lot of eBay sellers will give you actual rise
measurements so you know exactly how high or low a rise is on a pair of jeans
you're looking at. If the seller doesn't say and you need to know, ask them
before you bid or buy. Some general terms used to describe how tall the rise is
on a pair of jeans are:
- Low rise - Low rise jeans sit below the belly button, above or just at the hip bones.
- Ultra-low rise - Ultra-low rise jeans sit even lower than low rise jeans, usually
below the hip bones
- High waist jeans - High waist jeans have a rise that comes above the
belly button.
Women's Wrangler jeans frequently use the
following terms for rise:
- Low rise
- Average rise
- Classic long rise. The classic long rise can be particularly comfortable
for tall women, or for women who are long in the torso, and/or for women who
ride horses.
Stone-washed - Stone-washed jeans have been washed with stones or
treated in some other way so they look and feel broke in even when they are
brand new.
