MF JESSIE MERIT, Registration #3366078, Foaled May 23, 1995
“Jessie” is an EASY KEEPER. He is 14 years old and in great health. This stout, bay gelding, stands 15.2 hands tall. I have had him since he was 4 years old. I have roped quite a few cows & calves, even a few bulls out in the pastures. I have only had him in a box a couple of times at ropings, but he handled that just fine. Jessie does a great job pulling a wagon too. While I don’t put the harness on very often, it doesn’t bother him to haul several kids around during some holidays. Speaking of kids, I put my nieces and nephews on him with out any worries. If the youngster does not know how to rein, Jessie will just go eat grass until the kid figures it out. My wife has even taught him how to run barrels. This is a real nice horse. He is very laid back, you could easily call him lazy, but if you need him to get somewhere, he will put you there. Jessie is a great all around horse. You can trail ride, rope, barrel race, pull a wagon, or what ever you want to do on this horse. I have 5 horses and somebody needs to go. Jessie does not get used enough around here, so I thought he needed to go where he will be rode. I can email you more pictures if you are interested. Jessie is well worth the 4500 I’m asking. On 6/24/09, my wife & I had to doctor a cow for foot rot and a calf for pink eye. My wife healed the cow off Jessie and he held that cow good, while I tied her up. Then when I roped the calf, the calf went stupid and ran underneath Jessie. Jessie didn't spook or jump. He just walked right out of it, turned and when my wife healed the calf, he held her with no problems
I just reduced the price on him to 4000.00. Anyone can ride this horse, and I really want him to go to a good home |
