I have a young mare that I want to start roping calves off of for breakaway. I'm looking for a place to practice breakaway roping that is close to the Wichita area. I definitely prefer actual calves over roping steers since roping those horns makes a difference but if all you have is steers, I can make it work. Indoor would be best so I can practice no matter what the weather but if outdoor is all you have then I'll take what I can get.
My mare is in the beginning stages of roping and just needs some slow calves (big calves are fine because I'm not going to tie them down) to track around and play with so I can get her going. If you have a way to help me out or know anybody who does, please drop me a line. I am willing to pay with cash or even work out a deal to supply your calves with round bales of hay, etc.
