Belle is 14.2, although she doesn't look it in the roping picture attached. My husband is 6'4 and Belle was only a 4 year old in the picture. Belle has won money calf roping, breakaway roping, and heeling. She is started on the barrels and poles and will make a really nice all around youth horse. She is patterned on barrels and will NOT run past a barrel. She just needs more runs to add the speed. She ran in the top of the 4-D at her first barrel race just cruising through. She will be hauled to barrel races until sold. She recently won an open western pleasure class and took second in the horsemanship class (her first time shown). She is extremely gentle and well broke.
Belle is super in the box, scores great and gets across the line quick and smooth. She runs right up in the hole and gives you a great shot. She has competed at rodeos and jackpots, and has been trail ridden. She had some cutting training as a 3 year old and did very well, but we rope, so we took her in that direction instead. She is extremely cowy. Nothing rattles this mare. She has worked cattle in the pasture and sorted pens. She is 100 sound, No vices or issues (vet checks are welcomed at buyer’s expense). She is current on vacs., teeth floated in April this year.
I am only selling this mare because I have another young one that I am starting and I don’t have time to ride them all. We have owned this mare since she was two. I only wish every young horse was as easy to train as this mare. She will make a wonderful youth horse, yet dad can still go rope on her.
