Flax is trained to lay down with just a touch to his front left forleg either mounted or dismounted. The only kind of roping he has been used for is ranch work when a cow has gotten out. He has also been used to gather up cows from pastures ect... he can climb about any terrain and is VERY sure footed. Never has to have shoes if he is trimmed right. You can ride him anywhere by himself. I have owned him since he was 4 years old and been riding him since he was first broke. He listens well and has been trick rode off of. He doesn't mind anything. You can get him into a lope while your feet are up in the liberty stand straps on a trick saddle and he will keep a even pace while you get stood up and he keeps in a lope till you come down and cue him to slow. He would make a great barrel racer, roping, trick riding or what ever disiplin you need him for. The reason we are selling is because I have another young horse to keep ridden and I don't have much time to spend with my horses since my kids are little. Back in 2001 I won rodeo queen with him and he has been a pretty good all around horse. You can lay a barrel down and while riding him you can get him to jump over it. He just needs someone who has more time to keep him ridden and I KNOW he would make lots of money in the rodeo circut His age means nothing to him He has LOTS of years left He is a 100 percent cow horse and he will get you up on a cow in nothing flat. He will pen his ears back and bite at a cow if he feels he needs to. He will work a gate from both sides and side passes well either direction. He has been ridden mostly with a snaffle bit and is soft mouthed and listens well. I have tons of pictures over the years of owning him along with some trick riding pictures etc... I was told he has some belgian draft in the back of his pedigree. He is big boned with a lot of horse power and speed He has been clocked at 45 miles per hour before Call or email with any questions or more pictur
